Madrid is a city of great architecture, beautiful art, wonderful parks, innovative design and one of a kind fashion. It is big, impressive, royal, antique, contemporary, bohemian, sophisticated and authentic- all at the same time. My favorite places in Madrid are:
1) the way between the main palace to Plaza Mayor
2) Gran Via avenue
3) La Castellana avenue (built in a 19th century style)
4) Paseo del Prado (includung: Prado museum, Thyssen Bornemisza museum and Reina Sofia museum)
5) Parque Del Retiro
6) Bank of Spain
7) Plaza Mayor
I recommend you all to wander around the streets and simply enjoy the unique atmosphere of the city.
